Good Day
I was going to ask D-Link this but they do not support the DIR-615.
I have a D-link DIR-615 Ver 3.20 Wireless router. I have used it very successfully at home. I am now travelling in an Recreation Vehicle (RV) and connect my HP Pavilion Laptop on Windows 8. I use the laptop WIFI to connect to the internet and want to somehow connect the D-Link wireless router to the internet so I can run a little server (Window 2011 home server) and a wireless printer on the D-Link router. I know thru the router setup it asks me to connect my internet provider to the router. Is there another way to do this?
I am thinking that I should be able to connect to the internet via the Laptop WIFI and then connect to the D-Link DIR-625 wireless router via Ethernet cable. Should I try to plug the Ethernet cable into the Internet port or router Port 1 on the Router??
I then want to set up the wireless printer and other devices to the D-link and connect my server to Ethernet port 2. This way I would have mini LAN when I check into the different Campground. Will a D-link give me this ability??
