Hard Drive freezing BIOS

Hi guys!
So I updated my BIOS from EFI to UEFI and have been setting everything up. Turns out that my Dual boot SSD hard drives work like a charm, however my HDDs cause the PC to freeze at the BIOS splash screen, I'm not able to press any of the buttons or progress to the BIOS set up screen. My Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 and the two HDD are 4TB each. I don't know a whole lot about BIOS and all the SATA malarky so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks!
Jake

EDIT: So I tried the Hard drive in another PC with AWARD BIOS and it works fine, all files intact. I'm not sure if that helps at all, but at least I'm not having a heart attack, worrying about my files.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I tried that with an old Windows disk I had laying about and it booted fine. It just seems strange that 2 HDDs would go at the same time after something like flashing my bios.

I'm gunna see if it's recognised on another setup I have. There's no clicking or anything weird sounding on them when they boot so in reluctant to throw them in the junk heap just yet haha
