Hello all,

I recently ran some HDMI through my attic for the purpose of connecting my PC to my television with the press of a button. I have run into an issue.

Set up: I have an HDMI cable running from my computer into a wall plate (# 1). That wall plate contains an HDMI that travels through the attic to another wall plate (#2). An HDMI cable connects that wall plate to my Denon AVR. The AVR then connects to a full home theater wall plate (#3) containing an HDMI that travels behind my TV into an HDMI the last wall plate (#4). All together that makes 6 HDMI cables that all connect together from my PC to my TV.

With this setup my PC will not send a signal to my television. If I take the HDMI from my PC and plug it into my mac book, it works with no problem. If I take another HDMI directly from my pc to the Denon AVR it works just fine. This proves that either of these setups have the potential and capability to work, all of the wiring working and all of the hardware works, but when I set it up the way I planned it just wont work. The only thing that wont work is the set up that I want to work, my PC showing on the TV.

Does anyone have any idea why this wouldn"t work?

update: I am running GTX 780 is SLI.
I have a 65" cheap samsung that I picked up for black friday a few years back.
I have a Denon AVR 1913

I also get an error message in nvidia control center that states "a repeater is connected to your system. some videa applications do not support HDCP when a repeater is present"

This message also appears when I connect directly to the Denon and successfully get a signal.

Solution
Just wanted to say thanks. My set up is similar, but this was the same issue I was having. I had my PC with a GTX960 running to a Yamaha VSX-45 then out to an HDFury Integral box, and then finally to the TV. I replaced the longest cable in the chain (the 15' running from the PC to the A/V) and that solved the issue.

If anyone was curious or has the same problem, I have solved it. It appears that even though it worked with every device I connected, there was just too much cable to travel through for the PC to get the signal all the way. By removing the cable connecting the wall plate (#2) to the Denon and just connecting straight to the Denon I was able to get the signal through (it was not just a bad wire either, I had tried multiple wires in its place before removing it.)
