Hello everyone, I am going to be upgrading my computer, including the motherboard, cpu, and more. What I was really wondering is can I use my hard drive with windows 10 and all my files on it, or do I need to fresh new one.
Disconnect your computer from the internet, uninstall all of your drivers(except for parts your reusing), then install the drive in your new system. If for whatever reason it decides it still doesn't want to work then you can still plug it into the old system and get your data using a memory stick or external hdd.
From what I have researched, most people just reuse the same Hard Drive, thank you for the help
Most of the time you can just use the same drive but sometimes old drivers can cause problems.
