SLI Radeon R9 290 and Dual PSU rig. Please review

Hi! I'm currently planning to put together such a setup:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ydc37P
I already own 2x Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 and 2x Corsair CX750 750W PSU's.
I would like to take that current pcpartpicker setup and give it 64gb of ram. Also keep the cards in SLI. Any specific mobo I should look at? The rig is mostly for video editing so any recommendations in regards of the chosen parts is welcomed! Also do you think it would be beneficial to use dual PSU-s in this one rig? Would the rig run more silently and distribute the power more evenly?

Many thanks!

  1. I wouldn't use a sinlge cx750 on any 290. The PSU is not the best, and I wouldn't use it. I'd use a single PROPER 1000 watt PSU. Take look at the EVGA 1000 g2.
  2. I would use a single psu, evga's are fine, and you cant put 290s in sli.
  3. He means cross fire.
  4. Ahh, sorry. Forgot about that, i usually use nvidia

Okay, thanks. I have two of these Corsair 750-s, so no real way/point of utilising those two ?
  6. If you have two use 1 to power the system and one card, and short the green to a black in the 24 pin on the other, and use it to power the other gpu.
