I'm trying to spend less than 300 $, I'll be able to get the i7 from jet for about 250 dollars, I am looking for a 30-50$ motherboard, are all of the ones on pcpartpicker combatible, or even good if 30-50 $?

Alright, would I need a new PSU, or ram? I think the I7 and new MOBO is a better route because I like to play games like ARMA and DAYZ which are really laggy on potato amd :C I don't think I would overclock the i7, so should I get an i7 4790 (non k?)

The Intel i7-4790k is out of your budget and won't be able to work at It's designed power if you can't afford a Z97 motherboard a long with it.

Focus on an i5-4460/4590 + H97 motherboard (Or the B85M Gaming 3 mobo), or i5-6500 + B150/H110 motherboard.

You have to upgrade the power supply before you upgrade to GTX 970.

Op, you do realize you'd probably see a good boost by adding the gtx 970 correct? Also, have you overclocked the 8320? I've got the older 8120, mine was stock at 3.1ghz, and I've been running it for a good while at 4.2ghz. You might reconsider getting the 970. I do realize intel has the better performing parts now, but the other thing to keep in mind is AMD is set to release a new set of chips next year. They are claiming a 40% jump. So my strategy is to wait and see if Zen is really as it's advertised and to see how big of a jump there is and possibly save my pennies for an upgrade then.

*Edit* I'd started to write this then had to step away, and finished it later, realized that you'd already posted. I would say though that you might be advised if you have not already, grab a cooler like the cooler master hyper 212 evo, and overclock the 8320 for all it's worth. That should help ease any potential bottlenecks.
