CPU replacement for Lenovo D20

Hello,

I would like to replace my Xeon W5540 2.5 Ghz with a Intel Quad Core CPU Core i7 960 3.2GHz. They are both socket 1366 processors, but I don't know if it's possible to go from Xeon to i7, I'm very new to CPU upgrades.

Any suggestions?

Based on some snooping around on Lenovo's website I did, the only pc that showed up was a Thinkstation D20. Unfortunately, if that is indeed your computer you are running an Intel server motherboard which really hurts upgradibility, the Thinkstation only supports dual and quad core Xeon processors, meaning that an upgrade to a Core I7 cpu is impossible.
