Very good except for the PSU. Change it to a 620W Seasonic.

Also, since you have a K series CPU you are planning to overclock. As such, you have to get a much better cooler than the stock one. Get a Hyper 212 EVO; it's cheap and performs very well.

Your rig is actually great for gaming. I'm not much of an Intel fan myself, but your i5 CPU is fast, reliable and performs well. I also had no idea that ASUS has a sister-company that manufactures graphics cards, however the GTX 970 is a solid card. You have good RAM, and an effective power supply to provide a steady flow of juice to all your components. I don't know what brand your HDD is, but the only upgrade I would recommend is a solid state drive. It reads/writes data and much faster speeds, and your mechanical drive, being it is mechanical, is bound to fail soon. Not to mention the technology is being phased out, if not already.

The easiest way to answer this question is to run Star Wars Battlefront, set it to high or ultra settings under graphics, and fire away! If you don't experience frame-drops separate from client-end lag, (in layman's terms the games servers not your computer) then you're good to go!

The CX series from corsair is one of the worst PSUs you can use for an enthusiast rig. It ranks Tier 4 on Tom's Hardware's PSU Tier List, and is not suitable for any high power rig.

HDDs are still very much far from extinct. Until SSD prices come drastically down they will still be king for mass storage. The ideal setup right now is an SSD for the OS and any frequently used programs and an HDD for everything else. HDDs also do not fail easily, provided they are treated right. I've got 2 that are going on 5 years right now, and both perform very well.

Id have to agree to disagree. I have been running a CX 750M for two years now, with flawless results, good draw and distribution. No fan failures, overheating or sputtering. Never had an issue. To say it's the "worst" for an enthusiast rig is a stretch, considering the brand is used in E-Sports Lan rooms, and almost every gaming lounge I have walked into in Florida. I'm not making the argument that it is the best you can buy. But to say it's the worst, is nothing short of false. I could make the same claim you did, for Diablotek PSU's. A tech review doesn't mean you have the most empirical and objective data unless peer-reviewed. It is an opinion, due to me seeing these PSU's perform with phenomenal results each and every time. I can't be that lucky, right?

I also do installs on Samsung EVO SSD's almost daily, HDD's are being phased out, and have been slowly for the past four to five years. My last WD HDD ran perfect as well, for almost the same length of time (about five years like yours) but as with anything mechanical, that has moving parts, it will be susceptible to failure at some point. However, I'm here to help, not start a debate on opinions or preferences, so with that said, take care. :)

That is a very good gaming PC. You'll be able to max out practically any game at 1080p with good frame rates. Good prices on all your components too. Are you overclocking? If so, add a Hyper 212 EVO to the build. If not, downgrade the processor to an i5 4460 and an H97 motherboard to save a sizable amount of money.
