Built this computer for my brother. There is no OS in the price because I know you people can get it by various means for a price we will not speak of lol.

Hope this helps anyone who is looking to build a computer

$95 in Rebates, the rebates list by PC part picker is not correct, I had to manually enter some prices

Heres a link to my spread sheet with links to the products https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pokvzb1x2bG7rDDCaxaVYBY6Lz4oMh6TItRfRlvJi6Q/edit?usp=sharing

No chance to find $40 for a 120GB SSD is there? it's night and day difference in perceived performance... I'd sacrifice on the case to get one if I had to.

Also don't talk about pirating software, although I'm sure you meant you were going to throw a flavor of linux on there.

nothing too intense: league of legends, csgo, maplestory. But just in case he decides to do anything more, he'll be able to do it. Also wanted to talk him out of getting a laptop because for the same price you'd get something so much better. I also had a 20" monitor lying around to give to him too.

He also wants to try being a youtuber sooooo yah.

No $40 ones but more like $60ish? Yah i know how nice it can be, I have one myself. Just don't think he cares for one, and when he does decide to get one because he finds the hdd is too slow then i can just reformat the computer for him. Not that much of a hassle. He's going from a laptop to his first desktop, so its going to be a big performance improvement already. I'll let him feel the progression haha then we can work on ssd

Of course, Linux is the way to go, along with open office!
