My ASUS x99 Deluxe is not detecting all Ram sticks 8x8gb 64gb in 2400Mhz

Bios Version 2001
8 x 8gb Crucial Ballistix DDR4 2400Mhz
Intel 5960x

When I clock the ram at 2133Mhz all the sticks are detected but when I change it to 2400Mhz which the ram is rated for 2 of the 8 are not detected in the Bios. I don't believe its the specific sticks because if I move the ram to different slots the problem persists in the same ram slots which is listed in the bios. I have been running the ram at 2133Mhz but would like to use it's full potential. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm aware that the Crucial Ram is not officially supported in the motherboards supported ram list.

My first 32GB kit ran without issue at 2400Mhz. The problem showed up when I added the second kit. I should also add that Windows detects 48gb and CPU-Z detects 64gb I trust that Windows and the Bios are correct and that CPU-Z is incorrect.

That's a pretty insane system you have, lots of video editing or visualization?

Although they do say that it can be OC'd to 2400 and beyond, that might not be the case with a full set of 64gb, perhaps the voltage regulator can't keep it stable, so it simply has to cut corners, it would probably be best to contact Asus and question them on it, since I doubt many people own/use it to it's full potential to that extent. Hopefully you get lucky an someone else on here does, that's my two cents.

At first I thought it might be because I OC'd the CPU. I'm able to run the ram at 2200Mhz with an Overclock on the CPU at 4.3GHz. It's not life or death here I just would like to run it at 2400Mhz if possible. If I turn off the overclock back to stock the problem persists so it's not the OC.

I'll reach out to ASUS.. I just need to open my computer up to get them the serial which is hidden behind my 980ti... Argg :)

No worries, hopefully they give you some information, good luck with it!
