Hi Guys,

My Gigabyte 970A-DS3p board bios suddenly gets corrupted. After the windows screen my monitor turns black and from there it "Enters in sleep mode" and won't boot. I've tried to reset the cmos and use the backup bios from the gigabyte dual bios feature but still it won't work. Can someone help me regarding this. Thanks

PC specs:

Board: Gigabyte 970A-DS3p Revision 1
CPU: FX-8350
Video Card : Gigabyte r9 280x
RAM: 8GB kingston
OS: Windows 7 64 bit SP1 ultimate

Thanks for your reply Cin. I took a picture of my MB VRMs(Although I'm sure if this the one you're referring) http://imgur.com/PVnb5Lc <-- It looks good to me.

As for my PSU - I'm using Corsair CS750M 750Watt.

Note:

I've been using this pc for almost a year now with no problems. Just yesterday when it boots up the monitor displays a no signal found then enters in sleep mode. It looks like a corrupted bios because when I tried to start it up earlier it says " Main Bios corrupted. The system will be recovered from backup bios" after it loads the backup bios its still not working fine.

Here are the things so far I've tried:

1.) remove power chord then hold power button
2.) remove cmos battery
3.) Start it up with only 1 stick of RAM
4.) Download a BIOS here http://www.gigabyte.ph/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4591#bios then place it in a USB then flash my pc with it.

Also the safe mode is working fine. Sorry for my english and thanks for your help

Hi Cin,

I haven't tried what you suggested as my PC now for some reason won't display anything or boot (I can't even get to bios now). Could this be a video card issue? I'm not sure why this random issues suddenly pops up yesterday it can still access the bios and safemode.

Thanks

Thank you for your help cin. Looks like the issue is on my VG as I've tried my brother's VG and my Pc was able to boot now.

I have another issue :) after I flash my MOBO my lan card is not working now. Do you know how to fix this? I already tried reinstalling the lan driver.

Thanks

Happy holidays cin. Unfortunately, That diagnostic doesn't help.

Currently, I'm currently getting a 169.254.x.x Ip address and also pinging 127.0.0.1 results in "General Failure".

Hi Cin, All good now :) I've uninstalled my antivirus then did a system restore. Previously, the system restore is failing because the antivirus is blocking it.

Thanks for the help
