Heard there were problems with the EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 (Maxwell). Read reviews... not sure what to think.

Solution
There is the whole issue with how the GTX 970 can only effectively utilize 3.5 GB of its advertised 4GB vram. The other 0.5 GB can only be used at a slower speed (1/7th of the speed). But you really won't notice unless you're pushing it past the 3.5 GB limit and that's when you'll run into performance issues. So there are a few things to consider such as the games you play and the resolution you play at. But I would say that the GTX 970 is still a superb card in the end.

I hope playing Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Skyrim, MGS 5, CS GO, Rainbow Six Siege, and newer games will not be a problem...
What happens when it is pushed to the limits? Just drops frames? If you think its a great card and worth keeping for awhile then I guess I feel better about purchasing it. Just seemed shady when I was researching it.

You should not have any problems playing any of those games. And yes, if you push the card pass its limits, you'll notice their performance issues such as stuttering. And it does seem shady, but it was meant to only have 3.5GB of vram as Nvidia said that it was due to a miscommunication between their PR team and engineering team (?). The 970 was meant to be a slight cut down from the 980 with a disabled L2 cache module so instead of having 2MB of L2 cache, the 970 only has 1.75MB.
