Hi there, I have never built a computer before. Today I tried and when I thought i had everything in place, i plugged it in and hit the power button. Nothing happened, and yes, I did flip the switch on the back. This is my parts list, i dunno where I went wrong. I dont really know what errors to check for, I need some advice.

Thanks

PC part picker is down at the moment. I would recheck all your steps. Are all the motherboard standoffs being used by the right amount of screws? All power and data cables connected properly? When the PSU switch is on, are there any standby LEDs lit up on the motherboard to indicate it's getting power? Typically with a no power up situation, this is what to check first. Even if something wasn't seated properly (GPU, RAM, ect.) the system should still power up. If no luck here, you may want to try the "paperclip test" on the PSU. A quick google search should explain this. If no luck here, you may want to to reference "motherboard breadboarding" as well. This should be enough info to get you started.

Thank you for the quick respone, there is no indicator light on the motherboard when the PSU switch is on... I will try the paperclip test tomorrow and I will let you know my results.
