How hot is the disk getting? Does it have airflow? I have found that Seagate laptop hard drives, at least, REALLY do not like getting hot.

1. Damaged Data cable
2. MBR Virus... transmitted to each HDD from another HDD, or removable media.
3. BIOS virus
4. Power issue (bad power connection or PSU)
5. Motherboard issue
