Just did a new build for my son for Christmas. it is an asrock 970M pro3 motherboard with an amd 8 core cpu and a radeon 7970 graphics card which was my old graphics card and worked fine when I took it out of my old build. have everything hooked up right however when powered one I have two problems, 1) the monitor does not detect a signal and I am using a known working dvi cable to connect. 2) for some reason my power button on the case will turn the computer on but wont turn it off, I always have to shut the power off at the power supply. I tried a different graphics card known to be working as well and got the same problem with the monitor. I unfortunetly don't have a speaker or a way to hook one up to the MB and hear if there are any beeps going but I have messed around with the memory sticks to see if anything was going on there. the MB also does not have onboard graphics to help me troubleshoot further. Any suggestions out there on this by chance?
