should i get an alienware graphics amp? if so do i need to buy the graphics card from them or.......

Hi everyone, so i was planning on getting an alienware 17 from a friend. but i was wondering. do i need the graphic amp to play GTA V on max settings or no..... Heres my specs so far:
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970M with 3GB GDDR5

Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ (Quad-Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.5GHz w/ Turbo Boost)

8GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz (4GBx2) (should i get more?)

1TB Harddrive

im trying to stay as low budget as i can for my friend but let him play well. (living in Singapore) this was the cheapest.

and one last thing, does dell Canada have boxing week sales?

Assuming you're playing at 1080p, a 970M and a Skylake i7 will probably (if not easily) run GTA V just fine.

Personally, I think that having an amp isn't a bad thing, but it kinda ruins the point of a laptop if you can't take the amp with you somewhere to play a game at, let's say, 4K. If you want to play at a res higher than 1080-1440, i'd recommend getting a laptop that uses a 980M or higher.
