Hello everyone,

I was in the process of building a new PC for the first time in 12 years. I been using a laptop since. I went to aiming for a 970 believing the 980 is not worth the price when pascal is coming next year with significant changes in the fab process and maybe upgrade next year. BUT then Newegg had a good deal with a 980 and a SSD for 370 after rebate- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127834&cm_re=msi_980-_-14-127-834-_-Product. That would make my 980 be $370 after a game I would have bought (Rainbow Six) and a SSD. I do not want an Adata SSD. The name scares me but I concluded I would have just used it for my new build as my primary SSD until I get a better SSD maybe next year the next time a good sale comes about. I was going with the G2 PSU 850 W. for $99.99, and 74.99 DDR4 ram.

THEN this shocking deal comes - http://slickdeals.net/f/8384991-hp-envy-750se-desktop-with-geforce-gtx-980ti-16gb-ddr4-and-i7-6700-1075?src=&page=13#comments.

I can get a HP desktop with a 980ti, 16GB DDR4 ram, and a SSD, and a HDD. My build comes up to 1243.19. That is with $20 faster shipping. With taxes, I pay $1351.61 for a i7-6700, 980ti, 2 HDDs, etc.

It seems like a damn good deal with a 980ti. I understand the parts are probably generic but someone told me with the i7-6700, the memory speed does not matter much.

Should I get the HP or build? A PC with a 980ti, 16GB DDR4, SSD, and a HDD for 1243.19 just sounds very tempting. Thank you so much!

hp gives you a warrenty that last longer the retail parts (usually). i prefer build but it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. and yes an i7 6700 is going to perform well with almost any DDR4 ram. Not to say some higher clocked ram wouldn't help but a good deal is hard to pass.
