Hello Everyone, the Can i run it website has been screaming at me to upgrade my computer specifically my CPU and GPU, My Goal is to simply be able to play games like Fallout 4, Battlefield games, and some MMORPGs on med-high details for 1-2 years to come. After some trawling i found that i may need to actually upgrade my Motherboard and should really invest in a SSD, however am not sure what is a necessary buy and what isn't. I have looked at a few choices and narrowed it down to what i think are mid ranged prices but decent specs, however i've come up to the point where i need some expert advice on if these parts will work together / are the wisest choices or if i need to many parts and should just buy a new comp. My specs according to speccy are:

Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX-6100 4.0ghz , Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 ATX (Socket M2)
Graphics: SyncMaster (1920x1080@60Hz)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner)
Storage: 1863GB Western Digital WDC WD2002FAEX-007BA0 ATA Device (SATA)
Optical Drives: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222AB ATA Device
Audio: RIG Dolby Game Audio
Game Case: Corsair carbide series 500r med-tower, ATX and micro ATX Compatible
Power Supply : 750W Antec

The Items i was looking at if I don't have to purchase a motherboard:

GPU: GeForce GTX 970 GDDR5 PC $299
CPU: AMD FX-8320 FX-Series w/ SSD (because SSD is better?) $216
SSD: SanDisk Extreme PRO 480GB $189 currently 400 usually

With MotherBoard:
GPU GeForce GTX 970 GDDR5 PC $299 or Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB $ 350
CPU: Intel Boxed Core I5-6500 $250~
SSD: SanDisk Extreme PRO 480GB $189 usually $400
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI PLUS ATX DDR4 $355 or ASRock Intel Z97 $200

All of these were taken from Tom's hardware "best of CPU / GPU / Motherboard of 2015" lists
CPU: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpus,3986.html
GPU: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gpus,4380.html
Motherboard: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-intel-amd-motherboard,3902.html
SSD: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-recommendation-benchmark,3269.html

This is my first time asking for help on any forums so i have tried to provide as much information as possible, and apologize if i am lacking information in some areas, please don't hesitate to point any flaws or other directions i can take, any advice would be appreciated before i spend some dollary doo's on this, cheers.

There's nothing you can upgrade your CPU to that will help you get better game performance, not without switching to intel.
These are the best choices to upgrade if you want improved performance. Except for SSD, that won't make games perform better, only load levels faster, and startup Windows faster.
