Nvidia GTX 970 (Stock) Pixilating Green Dots

Last night, Dec 18, 2015, I noticed some green pixilation of my Windows 10 desktop screen. I took it to be a mere anomaly. But this morning it is even worse. I keep my video drivers current and was using the 359.06 issued on Dec 1 2015. I rebooted and there was no change. I ten rolled back the driver to version 358.91 issued on Nov 9 2015 and rebooted. No change. What might be my problem?

And yes I do get driver crashes quite frequently.

Do you know your GPU temps? Its either a temperature, power or failing card issue. If on desktop only its probably not temperature related however you should check regardless. We'd need to know your PSU make and wattage to give an opinion on likelihood of it being down to a crappy PSU. Sounds very much to me like you have a GPU about to die if everything else checks out.

How long have you had the card? I'd check up on your RMA options.

Bad GPU do a RMA on it! Looks like you have eliminated all driver issues.

MSI NVidia graphics card bought with computer from Cyberpower pc. The temp, as an example while in FallOut 4 is about 51 degrees. When not in game it approx. 30 degrees normal desktop. NVidia inspector used for this.The PSU is a AZZA 800W 80 plus power supply. This pixilation is over anything graphic. I.e. images and video from games to youtube.

Thanks for your response but are we talking about the GPU or PSU? I started my computer today and have no green pixilation but suspect if it occurred once that it will return.

I was meaning GPU the PSU is low quality but plenty big. If PSU was the issue you would have shut downs most likely.

Thank you for your help rolli59. Yes the PSU is low quality. It comes from trying to pinch pennies when buying a new system. Perhaps I can replace it later.

I dont know if you are having the issue anymore with it being a couple years later but, For others who are having this issue, I had the issue today when i woke up, I thought it was something much worse after all it turned out to be that the HDMI cable was loose in the back and wasn't plugged in all the way! Hope this helps others!
