Keeping both discrete and integrated graphics active on INSPIRON 3847 desktop

Motherboard: dell 088DT1
Device: Dell Inspiron 3847 desktop, i7
Discrete graphics: MSI N750TI-2gb
Integrated graphics: Intel HD
BIOS: Dell AO8

Can I keep both the discrete and integrated graphics active on this device? If so, how? I've only been able to toggle between the 2 via settings in the BIOS.

I saw a tread in an Archlinux forum about this but it's all Geek to me. It can be done if you VM 2 OSs and have 1 GPU each. There are PCIe 1x GPUs that could be added. I've seen HP USFF that claim 3 GPU support this way. In Newegg search you can filter for 1x PCIe cards.
