Looking to build a PC for about £900(Got peripherals). I was wanting to know what components people would recommend and was wondering a few things.

Is it worth getting an i7 if the heaviest multi tasking I do is skype, gaming and browsing the internet or would I be better of with and i5?

Is 8gb or ram enough for now?

Is it worth getting an SDD straight away?

I intend to play titles like Just cause 3 and battlefront at 1080p max settings with 60fps what GPU would give me best bang for my buck?

What price motherboard should I go for if I intend to overclock?

With a £900 budget you are able to get a gtx 980 if you want best bang bor your buck then go for a 970 or an r9 390 and an i5 4690k with a decent cooler (leave that with you to decide) the 980 will max out just cause 3 and battlefront at 1080p easily (just search a few youtube vids if ya want) 8GB of RAM is enough for gaming and if it comes to a point where you need more ram, you can always buy ram later as it is one of the easiest components to upgrade, if not the easiest. As for an SSD yes get it straight away as you will want to have your OS on your SSD and it is a bit of a hassle transferring your OS from your hard drive to your SSD. If you intend to overclocking go for a Z97 motherboard (a high end one) such as an MSI gaming edition motherboard which also have an easy to use user friendly BIOS. I hope this helped! :D

The r9 390 does have better in game performance. However, it draws more power and generates more heat then the GTX 970.

They're both very similar, and there is no definite answer. It turns into a big argument. There are numerous questions that first need answered. What is your power supply? Do you pay your own electricity bill? If so, how much do you game on average daily? What is your monitor resolution?

Also, the 390 has 8GB vRAM which is a nice thing to have. Of course, people say it really doesn't do anything, but I certainly treasure it :)
