So i recently just found out that my psu insulation has tore ever so slightly and decided to patch it up. I sent numerous emails to scan, they just blanked me and sent no messages at all. Sent about 3 over the perios of the week... No replies but a story for another time. So i went out and bought some inuslation tape. It says that can withstand 80c. Dont know if it means the mac before melting away or suggested temperatures. And had to tape up 3 cables. It was hard since one of the torn cables were directly between two other cables but i managed nevertheless.

So here are the before and after shots

You should be fine. The yellow wires are only +12V. There's nothing around them that they can short out to anyway. And if they were to have touched each other, it wouldn't have mattered. They are the same potential. Your tape job look good.

Yeah i was slightly worried since thats a r9 390, so pretty much a space heater. And the angle of the cut didnt actually expose the inner cables but i dont this a precaution to stop the tear and decrease the chance of the cable touching other components during transit. I am going to leave this thread open to get more views on the matter but thank you for the quick reply!
