I just replaced my ASUS GTX 770 2GB with an ASUS GTX 970 STRIX. The card seems to be working fine, however, I am noticing a slight flicker in image brightness. I will list my computer specs below. I wish to point out that I already boosted my RAM from 8GB to 16GB using Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks and upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. My display is a Sharp Aquos Quattron 3D LC-60LE835U 60-inch LED TV with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The vertical sync on my Nvidia control panel is set to use the 3D application setting. According to PC Part Picker, the ASUS GTX 970 uses 145 watts of power while the ASUS GTX 770 used 230 watts, so I am fairly certain it is not a power supply issue. I have also checked the HDMI connection between my graphics card and the TV and they both seem to be connected properly. I even connected the card to my 60 Hz Hewlett Packard 2311x monitor and as far as I can tell, there was no flickering. As far as I recall, this flickering never happened with the GTX 770 that was previously in my computer. If anyone knows what may be causing this, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Here are the specs for the rest of my computer:

I tried the vertical sync at both on and adaptive in the Nvidia control panel. That did not work. I also checked the HDCP status in the panel and it says both the card and TV are HDCP capable. I looked in my TV settings and I did not see a status display for HDMI Signals. The TV appears to only display an HDMI input selection menu. Before your response, I also tried hooking a different HDMI cable to both the card and a different HDMI port on the TV and still had brightness flickering.

I removed the GTX 970 and connected the HDMI cable to the HDMI port located on my motherboard. After 10 minutes, I have seen no noticeable flickering brightness on my TV. Does this mean that my new video card is defective? As I said earlier, this card uses less electricity than my GTX 770, so to me that rules out a power fluctuation. What other possible causes could be causing the flickering?

Hello... When two sources are running at different Re-fresh/frame rates... your IGT will typically default at 60hz output... set your Video card for 60hz output and compare... Does your TV manual/PDF have input suggestions OR Manual settings for a PC input frame rates.

Hello... "intel graphics technology" CPU/IGT is typical Bio's term used... just because your TV is 240 HZ... doesn't mean the HDMI inputs are such... When it comes to consumer TV's "it's Buyer beware" on vagueness of Specs and actual real world performance.
