Hi there. I'm new to building, but I was having some trouble with my Z170-A build. It's got the Intel 6700k installed, and the other components seem fine, but unfortunately I got a DRAM error light and I don't know if the memory I'm using is either faulty or it isn't compatible. I have no other sticks I can use to test if it's just the board, but I would appreciate any answer you guys might have. Thank you!

How do I update BIOS without the ability to get POST? Thank you, by the way, for the quick response.
Update: Fully tested each stick in each slot. Nada.

I'll try following your guide and get back to you with what I come up with.

Update: Just got POST, Woo! Have it benched outside case, so I at least know GPU, CPU, RAM, and Motherboard are all working fine. The case is a Carbide 500R, which comes pre-installed with all 9 copper risers needed for the ATX size motherboard, but I also slightly loosened the cpu cooler bracket on the back, so they might have had something to do with it. All it is now, I suppose, is slowly working backwards. Thanks for you're help! When it's all put back together and working I'll send one last message and close the thread. Thank you again!

Finished reintegrating all my parts. Nothing was bad. Funny enough, all I did differently was loosen the cpu bracket and everything worked fine. Mine must have been too tight. Still, that bench idea worked great. Saved me from returning perfectly good sticks. Now I'll never forget the last resort in troubleshooting is to just "bench it". :)
