This one will be a long one because of all the troubleshooting and googling I've already done on this so far... For some reason my delete key (the one below insert and left of end key) stops working in windows after a few minutes of uptime regardless of what tasks I'm doing/not doing. I recently upgraded to an Asrock z170M pro4s board, installed a fresh windows 7 pro N x64 and did all winupdates, got all the correct drivers from the Asrock official site for the chipset and seperate usb 3.0 driver package, updated the motherboard bios firmware to the latest (2.20 - 11/11/2015), checked in the bios settings for legacy usb support [auto] and ps/2 simulator [disabled] (keyboard doesn't work at all in windows with this enabled). My keyboard is a USB Thermaltake eSports Poseidon (KB-POI-BRBLUS-CA) and there aren't any drivers for this specific one on the drivers page of the Thermaltake site (just .pdf info stuff). I tried going to start>run> OSK and clicking the delete key but it doesn't do anything (not a keyboard hardware fault). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver in device manager, unplugging/replugging in the keyboard, and any combination of those 2 things together. I've tried all the different user account control settings levels. The delete key works in the bios fine. I would plug it into a usb 2.0 port if the motherboard had one, but it doesn't have one (it has the internal usb 2.0 header but that is for my front panel sdcard reader). HELP, lol, this issue is driving me crazy and I'm finding it really difficult to type things.

Some older devices that don't meet the full USB2.0 specification can have issues with 3.0, not because of the host but because the specific combination of host and device has issues. You should try every single port (not plug) to see if it helps, but if it doesn't you might want to look into using a USB hub or getting a better keyboard that isn't "broken"
