I'm upgrading my gaming pc. I currently have:
4770 i7 cpu
270x 4GB gpu
500w power supply
16 gb Kingston fury ram
asrock h81 motherboard (I know it's bad!)

I recently got a 34 inch ultra wide 3440x1440 monitor and quickly realized I needed an upgrade to be able to run any games at a decent level.
I just got a 980 ti, and a gigabyte black edition motherboard, 850w psu, better cpu cooler, and ssd.
For my brother, I'm looking for a good cpu and motherboard to replace the cpu I'm removing from my current pc.

My younger brother is on a budget. I'm thinking a AMD 6300 paired with a
GA-78LMT-USB3 would be a good choice to replace what I'm taking out.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

He doesn't have a pc. I'm trying to make two out of one. I have my original pc that I'm really only taking the hd and cpu. I want to replace the cup and motherboard for him. The budget is $200 or less for cpu and mb.

It will be mostly a gaming computer. He is 14 and will only need basic computing power for school. Since he is mostly going to play games, is limited to the gpu that I'm giving him r9 270x, and is on a budget I thought amd would be a good bet for cpu and mb.

He only plays on 1080p or less. No streaming
