Hello everyone. I restarted my computer several hours ago and walked out of the room for a moment. I returned to windows 10 repairing my RAID, the kind of scan/repair before it enters windows. It was finishing up the repair by the time I noticed this. a 7TB folder full of important items is now gone! When I check the drive after it booted, windows still shows that the amount of used/free hard drive space is accurate. Just as if the folder was still there. I have downloaded some file recovery software and I can see the folder...

My question to you all is, do I have to recover all of these onto another drive? Or is there a way to undo what windows 10 did and put it back as it was? Any way to prevent me from having to buy some kind of 8TB storage device to back all of this up to in order to recover it all.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING AND FOR YOUR HELP!
