So i built a pc rig a few months ago but at the time i couldn't afford a gpu so i left it out.
But today i just installed a brand new msi gtx 970. but when i go to start SOME games (Black Ops3, FIFA 16, Rainbow 6 Seige) my pc randomly restarts with no error messages.

i5 4690k
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card
Corsair VS 550W ATX Power Supply
Windows 10 64 Bit
I hope its not the mobo or gpu faulty but could the major thing here be the PSU is throttling the pc?
I haven't disabled the integrated HD 4600 Intel graphics in the BIOS, is this advised too?
