Should I get a GTX 960 4GB now or save up for a GTX 970?

Hey guys, I am upgrading my PC after Christmas, I will have just enough money for a GTX 960 4gb. Should I get the 960 or carry on saving for a while (I'm 16, so I'll be saving for a long time) and get a 970? Will the 960 be outdated long before the 970 is outdated or is it worth just going for the 960. I want to play in 1080p on max settings at around 50 - 60 fps. I play games like GTA V, Fallout 4, BF4, etc.

Current Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4570 @ 3.2GHz
GPU: HD 7770
RAM:8GB DDR3

You haven't given your PC specs which would help make a decision. There would be no point in getting a GTX970 for example if you had an old core 2 duo processor as you wouldn't be able to feed the GPU enough data.

Post up your PC specs.

It's going to be around 3 months probably. I am not "fixed" in the Nvidia camp, but I would prefer to get an Nvidia card as opposed to AMD because I heard the AMD drivers aren't as good as the Nvidia ones.
