Hi guys, my system has a AMD Athlon X4 760K with a R9 270X, my motherboard is a FM2+ socket. I was wondering if I could upgrade my CPU. Is it possible to crossfire the AMD A10-7870K APU with my graphics card and would this improve my performance? I wish AMD would bring out some 6, 8 or 12 core CPU's for the FM2+ socket! Will they ever come to this socket? Cheers for the help.

Sorry, the fm2+ socket is pretty much dead. You won't see any 6+ core CPU on that platform.
Also, you can't CF that GPU with any APU iGPU.
You could upgrade to a better athlon and/or resort to OC, but the small gain wouldn't justify the price.
Unfortunately if you want to upgrade you'll have to buy a new mobo and CPU, as buying a new GPU with your current CPU would be a waste of money because it would be bottlenecked by the athlon.

The processor GPU of the APU AMD A10-7870K is Radeon R7 7870K which doesn't allow crossfire technology.
As for the CPU improvement on a FM2+ socket, you have one of the best so the money you'd spend on it would be "little appreciated". If you'd want really improvement on the cpu, I'd go with AM3+ CPU / Motherboard but that would be a bigger investement and I'm not sure you are willing to do it. If you ever consider it. I can leave a suggestion here:

"Not so expensive"

I'd also recommend you get a CPU cooler. Perhaps the Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212, that would do the trick.
