Updating BIOS loop

Ive updated my mobo from f5 bios to f8

Im getting the message:

GIGABYTE SPI Flash BIOS Update Utility v8.57

Flash type : MXIC 25L64 SERIES

LOADING BIOS IMAGE : Z98PD3.F8

PREPARIG TO PROGRAM MAIN BIOS

VERIFYING BIOS (KB) : 8192

***SPI FLASH BIOS UPDATE IS COMPLETE ***

A POWER CYCLING RESET IS REQUIRED TO FINISH THE BIOS UPDATE PROCESS


then it loops with this same screen on start up.. i backed up my f5 bios before the update. Did the update fail or is this common? Can it be fixed easy?

I have done so, my current BIOS even says f8 now, I still get the message when it restarts and is back in a loop.

Should I remove my usb now? If so at what stage? E.g. while im in the bios menu/when it powers off to restart?

I removed usb on restart, it worked and im on my computer with f8 BIOS on, thanks man you helped alot!
