I believe ebay or craigslist. Although I'm a little skeptical about buying used parts for computers. If you buy from a trustful source, why not? Be sure to select this as a solution if you find it helpful so other people with the same question as you can see it. (This will also avoid multi-threads on the same topic)

Here is the CPU you want to use:

http://ark.intel.com/products/35428/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q9650-12M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB

Here is your motherboard:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3743#sp

(...) Support for an Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme processor/Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor/Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor/Intel® Pentium® processor/Intel® Celeron® processor in the LGA775 package (Go to GIGABYTE's website for the latest CPU support list.)
L2 cache varies with CPU (...)

I believe it will be a plug and play situation.
