I'm wanting a new cpu, primarily due to star citizen taking 100% of it and horrendous low frames and freezes on minimum... Bought a cpu cooler then found out my mobo doesnt really support ocing. Going to buy a second 970 and some point and run them in sli as well.
So was hoping someone could recommend a good one, most games I play now either accept 6-8 cores or recommend them, preferably a cpu that will last for a while, willing to spend about 500 on the cpu alone. Would an unlocked cpu or server cpu be worth it?

- Needs to support sli
- Dont care if I have to buy ddr4 ram at this point
