Try opening task manager, finding the process for the game, and ending it.
For windows 8 + 10, it might be in the Details tab instead of the Processes tab.
Also, this should be in the windows 10 forums.

Also, try going to Task Manager -> Details and sort by RAM usage. You should be able to find and close it out (If that is the problem)
