Hey Guys,

My Nephew is wanting to build a gaming PC. I work in the IT field (network side) and used to be really in touch with the latest and greatest but I haven't had the time to keep up the last year or two.

I've always use TH forums in the past and was hoping you guys would be able to help me out.

We are looking to build a functional gaming PC for as cheap as we can get away with. From my past experience I'm thinking this is doable for $500-700 bucks. He has a monitor but will be needing all the rest of the parts. I've always been an Intel/Nvidia promoter myself but I understand that might not be doable on this budget.

Games looking to play:
Things like the new COD and BF

Budget:
Cheap as possible thinking $500-700?

Hardware not needed:
Monitor

Thanks in advance and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

For 700 dollars you can build a very good Intel-based PC system.

Optional:
- Removing the TX3 Evo CPU cooler for an optical drive to stay in 700 dollars budget (Stock Intel cooler is also good enough for this system)
- Adding an SSD (down the road).

This is what i came up with you can adjust the price by changing 970 to 960 or AMD options.
