PC acts like it's overheated, no hot components.

I built a PC last January, and it's been running fine until about a month ago, when it started to shut down at random. seems to always happen while running a game or with multiple browser tabs open, but not consistently, and not when the PC is under the most stress. Pretty much everything in the machine turns off including the system fans and case power light, except the power supply fan keeps running. It won't turn back on immediately, but it will after about ten minutes. I assumed that the problem was my processor overheating, so I started monitoring temps, and I've never seen anything from my processor over 50C, and usually it runs a lot lower. I've also, pulled the case open and felt the video card, processor heatsink, and pretty much everything else, but nothing feels hot to the touch.
I'm using:
MSI H81M-E35 V2 motherboard,
2x4gb ddr3 ram,
intel Pentium g3258 processor,
ati radon 270 r7 video card,
a hdd and a ssd.
running from a corsair cs450m psu.
Also, this started about a month or so after moving to windows 10.
Any suggestions would be great. I'd love to get this figured out, but it's an intermittent and strange problem.
