Long story short my Swiftech h220x liquid cooler failed causing my cpu to overheat but did not shut down. I noticed after a few hours.

Intel replaced my cpu within 8 days, Last night I installed the new 4770K and went to get online and game. I could not because my ping was in the 300+ms and my download speed was 2Mbps. (I am hardwired to the desktop)

My everyday specs are:
Ping:8ms
Download Speed:23Mbps

I shut down the pc and powercycled the modem, router etc. I than turned everything back on and the desktop is still the same.

I tried 3 laptops in my house that are all connected by wifi and the results were all 9ms ping and 23Mbps DL Speed.

I brought the laptop to my desktop and unplugged the cable (figured the cable is broken) I plugged in the laptop and did another speedtest. The test came out clean with 9ms ping and 23Mbps DL Speed.

Is it possible that the overheating caused an issue to my Mobo?

Any help would be great.

How long have you been using this os ? Did it start then ? Also click the start windows button click settings go to the bottom update and security . windows update see the advanced options, view your update history see if any automatic driver updates have taken place which maybe overwriting you original drivers if so we can take it from there.

No, and you said that i didn't even shut down. The motherboard doesn't even get damaged if the PC shuts down like 10 times from CPU overheating. At least i don't know from any cases, where the mobo got damaged by an overheating CPU. No idea what could cause the problem.

Thank you, going through the drivers and also using the troubleshooter in that area it came up with: Windows can not automatically detect this networks proxy. Problem could not be fixed.

I than googled that and found a fix to put in CMD and than reset the pc. After that everything seems to be working great now.

Thanks again!
