okay so the strangest thing has happened. I was using my computer last night playing video games, turned off my computer and went to bed. I woke up this morning and turned it on. However I didn't use it right away so it probably went into sleep mode. When I decided to use it, I tried to type on my keyboard or move my mouse so it would wake up. Nothing happened and I noticed that my keyboard and mouse illumination lights were off. I tried rebooting and the lights would blink on the BIOS screen and it would allow me to use it then, but as soon as the Dell buffering symbol came on, the lights went off. I've been searching for hours on how to fix it but nothing has worked. Here's what I tried:

- multiple usb slot config.
-BIOS Legacy Boot
-booting without usb devices plugged in, then plugging in after boot
-different mouse and keyboards
-one device at a time.

here's the weird part, my headset which is wireless works because it is illuminated along with my printer. only my keyboard and mouse are unable to function.

I don't know what the problem is, I am no computer wizard. I can't run into safe mode because f8 doesn't work. I've looked at thousands of threads and the problem might be the mobo or hard drives. another thing said it might be an infection/ virus.

If anyone has any solution suggestion i would be very greatful as I am really close to loosing it. I just want to be able to use my computer again ):
