Hey there again, Dizturb3dwun!

I guess that would be the easiest thing to do and just mark the HDD as loud :D, however, I'd strongly recommend you to keep an eye on it using the manufacturer's diagnostic tool.
Another important step that you should take is doing regular backups of the data stored on that drive. This is the best way to prevent any potential data-loss headaches in the future.

Hope I was helpful. :)
Best of luck & Happy Holidays!

Hey there, Dizturb3dwun!

I'd recommend you to try reseating the HDD inside your system and make sure that it's mounted properly. The rattling could be because of the vibrations. If that doesn't help, I'd recommend you to try plugging the HDD to a different computer and see how if the noises will continue. If they do, you should definitely consider RMA-ing and replacing the drive. Such violent noises could indicate internal hardware damage on the HDD.
Check for the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool on their website, it will help you determine the health and SMART status.

Hope this helps you. Good luck & happy holidays! :)

I've reseated it, didn't help. I actually had a different tower when I first got it, it sounded the same. When I got a new tower and moved my hardware into it, the sound never changed. It's currently sitting in a hotswap bay. click this - It's the HDD thats making the loud noise.

I'd recommend you to refer to the HDD manufacturer's official website to do a warranty check on the product, @Dizturb3dwun! If it's still covered, you should be able to RMA it, once you contact their customer support.
I'd also perform the diagnostic tests I mentioned above. If you can't find such a brand-specific tool, you can refer to this thread from the community for some good third-party testing tools: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Keep me posted with the results. :)

I diagnosed it, and it came back fully functioning. I also found some reviews for this specific HDD on newegg, and nearly all of them talked about how loud it is, and yet fully functioning. Maybe it's just loud? D:

Thanks for the responses bruh! and yeah I will, after I buy a new GPU and new RAM I'll probably replace it with an SSD just to get it quieter, cuz it can get really distracting. Appreciate all the help!
