I recently built a cpu with a MSI x99s ack motherboard, so I installed MSI live update 6. I heard online that it is not safe, but yesterday I updated the bios using this. When I was updating, it locked the keyboard and mouse. Is it fine to continue to use this to update the bios?

I've used it on all my MSI builds for years. Never had an issue. I also never tried to use the KB and mouse during the BIOS update. It may have done that to keep the user from doing something stupid... like trying to run a pgm while the BIOS was being updated.
