Ok so, I was building my PC and did a test boot with the power supply and motherboard. Everything seemed to function properly. I continued to go further into my build attaching the motherboard to my case. When I tried doing a 2nd test boot, I turned the switch to my power supply on and 1 of my lights went out and 3 outlets went dead. I reset them from the fuse box and tried it again and the power surge happened again and now if I plug it in, the outlets are fine and nothing happens but it won't turn on. I tried to reconnect the 24-pin cables, and then I tried using a screwdriver to trip the pins to turn it on via the motherboard. I have an MSI Z-97 Gaming 5 Motherboard and a Corsair RMX 1000w Gold + Power Supply. Any Idea what could have occured?

So I took it out and I had an extra motherboard exactly the same and it wouldn't turn on either. the cables seem to be fine. Could if be that a fuse blew in the power supply?

Ok so I think I figured out the issue. I used really long screws that did not fit and I think I forced them in and in doing so I think I cracked some part of the inner power supply and maybe shorted it through that. Could that be why I was unable to get power? Or would the screws not affect it? I feel like they would considering that I pretty much forced them in when they didn't fit and heard some cracking.
