GTA V Extremely Choppy

Hello, my computer randomly starting running GTA V in a manor of which it would stop and freeze then go then freeze. Any reason why? I have a GTX 970 and an Intel i5 4440. 16 gigabytes of ram and its running on a 7200 rpm hard drive. I've tried reinstalling the game and restoring all the settings to default and nothings worked

Hi DaMaN,

I had this problem in Bioshock: Infinite, and managed to partially fix it by turning on VSync. The results may be a little different with GTA V so let me know how it goes for you.
