I have a i7-5820k processor that is cooled by a hyper 212 evo cooler. I have no idea what good temperatures are. I have it over clocked to 4.2 ghz with idle temperatures of 42-53 degrees celsius. Using a stress tester i get 68 Celsius. Are these safe temperatures?

Intel's spec is TCASE 66.8C. So keep full load temps below that. Note this is not the individual core temp, but the package temp. You probably want something beefier than a hyper 212 to cool an overclocked 6 core intel cpu. Stress testing at full load on 6 cores is probably only going to be similar load to something like video rendering. If your gaming the load should be significantly lower, and temps lower.
