Please guide me buying the right CPU.

GT 740 has PCI 3.0 and 128-bit , whereas GT 730 has 1 GB DDR5, PCI 2.0 & 64-bit.
which is the best GPU.

Please advise / suggest.

You are asking the wrong question. What are your system specs, power supply brand and model and budget? If you want to get the right GPU you need to ask which one to get, not just pick between two you already selected.

The GT 740 GDDR5 model is very close in price (about 10%) over the DDR3 model, I would go with a 740 GDDR5, but for about that price are some faster cards if you look around. The 750 is about $100, same as the 740, so is the Radeon R7 250X.

My Rig:
Intel Core i3-4150
Gigabyte B85M-D3H-A
Kingston SSD Now V300 240 GB SSD
Corsair 450W SMPS
4GB HyperX 1600MHZ Ram
LG 22MP67VQ

PCIe 2.0 is all you need, even top end cards don't really need 3.0 yet. You should be looking for 128bit bus,2GB DDR5. 730 is a "Budget" card, 750 is a "Budget Gaming" card. If your PSU has a 6 pin GPU connector then go by the "Best Graphics card for the money" chart. You can get more for your money than the 750 if you don't need to buy a PSU. Then comparison shop using the "GPU hierarchy chart" if you find a deal on something else. This will let you know if it's better or worse than another card. DDR5 allows good frame rates, 128bit allows 2GB memory, which allows "medium" resolutions. 1080P gaming will be a stretch for any of these cards.

err 750 is not a budget card. Loads of cheap & decent cards for less than a 750. have a trawl through ebay see what you can find.

The 750 is a budget card in the sense that it often saves having to buy a $50-$80 PSU. If you already have the PSU with 6pin then not so much. I did make the distinction between pure "Budget", and "Budget Gaming". It IS an entry level "Gaming" card. If you're not gaming then it doesn't matter too much what you get. I got my PNY GTX750Ti O/C 2GB DDR5 for $100 after rebate at a local store. Or I could have saved $30 and got a 64bit 1GB DDR5 GT730, that wouldn't begin to do what the 750 does. I don't know why you would bother quoting me when you obviously didn't read my post in the first place.

Did you read the part "YOU CAN GET MORE FOR YOUR MONEY THAN THE 750" if you don't need to buy a PSU?
