Here's my current setup

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
FX-8320
Zotac GTX 970 4GB
2 x 4GB Ripjaws
And my casing is a CM K280

I was about to go back to work since it is Monday today here and I have not used my PC the whole day yesterday. I was able to turn on my PC then boot-up until the Windows 7 login screen. Then suddenly it turned off. When I was trying to turn it on again it didn't continue to boot. I mean it was booting for like just a second then shuts down immediately. Tried holding the power button then it just repeatedly turns on and off for 5 times and that's it.

Some troubleshooting I've tried:

Removed 1 and 2 RAM's = same result
Reset CMOS = same result
Look for screws that might cause any short circuit on the MOBO = didn't find any
Removed the GPU (Zotac GTX 970 4GB ) then turned it ON = system successfully turned ON and didn't shut down the whole time GPU was removed.
Removed the 6-pin cable then just install the GPU without the power= system immediately turned OFF after a second

In short, the system runs without the GPU but I don't have any spare GPU here and my MOBO does not have an onboard GPU to test.

What might be the problem? Thanks a lot.

If your not able to boot try the following steps.

1) Disconnect your HDD where your OS is installed and try connecting it to some another PC. make sure the Hard Disk Drive and the Operating System is good.

2) Try changing the RAM slots in every possible way like the following (Clean the gold plating of the RAM with a clean cloth).

[][] [][] [][] [][] [][] [][] . Try it in every possible way.
1 - - 1 2 - - 2 12 21
3) http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems. TRY THIS

4) If none of the above worked, Contact the Vendor.

Already did those.

I am suspecting that the cause is my PSU. Because when my GPU is installed w/o the PCIE cable connected on it my system is running but of course not booting since there is no power running on the GPU. But the GPU fans are working. But when I tried connecting the PCIE cable on the GPU, sysmem will just boot for a second then shuts down right away.

Its a good psu. Not saying that it can't break, but its more likely to be the gpu. If it isn't, its the psu. By all means, if you have a spare power supply lying around, use it.
