I have ordered a second hand HP Pro 3500, it has not arrived as of yet, but I would like to start shopping for a GPU now. It's Specs are;

CPU: i5 3470
RAM: 8GB DDR3
HDD: 500GB (will probably add a 1tb at some point)
MoBo: Generic H61
GPU: Intel HD 2500 iGPU (hence the upgrade)
PSU: generic 300W

I was thinking that since the GTX950 requires a 350W that I could maybe stretch the limits of it a bit, I was also wondering that for there were no 6-pin connectors if I could maybe use something like a molex-6pin instead.

I would prefer not to upgrade the PSU at this time, so if I have to go with my other, less preferable option of the GTX750Ti then I will.

I would also like to add that PC part picker says that it should be around 260W under heavy load.

I also do not plan on overclocking anything.

Thanks for you input.

From the way it looks like, it's a standard ATX power supply, only issue may be that it has a custom power connection on the motherboard and power supply to match.

It's easy to swap, you don't have to remove any parts from the system aside from unhooking the power connections. To match a system with an i5 CPU, I'd get about a 450 or higher watt power supply (good quality, EVGA, XFX. Seasonic, Antec), even if you exceed the requirements for the video card you want. That will give you enough headroom for a future upgrade and will also add a bit to stability.
