Hi, I'm using Open Harware Monitor to assess temps of my comp parts.
I'm worried because I see this after playing fallout 4 modded for 5 minutes with fraps on. Please tell me if these temperatures are going to damage my P.C. Thankyou in advance! [I took reading ten minutes after closing fallout4]

MSI Z97
-Nuvoton NCT6779D
--Temperatures-
----CPU Core = 65 degC and 78 degC max
----Temerature #2 41C and 60C max
----Temperature #4 25-105C (flickering) - 125C max
----Temerature #6 41C and 60C max
--Fans
--Fan #2 1370RPM and 2163RPM max

-Inter Core i7-4790K
--Temperatures
----core 1 = 54-80max [degrees celcius]
----core 2 = 51-80max [degrees celcius]
----core 3 = 67-79max [degrees celcius]
----core 4 = 59-74max [degrees celcius]
----core package 62-80max [degrees celcius]

-NVIDIA GeForce GTX980
--LOAD
----gpu core 0% - 99% max

-Temperatures
----37-81 max

I'm really worried of how quickly temperatures spike and the back to touch is super hot. I can hold my finger on the tip of GPU for three seconds or so and I feel too much heat to keep my finger there (without being burnt).

Is this going to damage my P.C if I keep playing fallout like this?
Thank you for help in advance!!

You can pick up a Corsair H60 for like 60-70 dollars and that does a fine job. That what I used for the longest time on my gaming PC and temps all stayed below 50C except on super new and demanding games

probably even cheaper on amazon.
I recently upgraded to the enthusiast grade on to push overclocks. H110i GTX.

Thank you guys for all your help.
When you refer to CPU cooling is it due to the 125 degrees Celsius rating? at #4 temperature?
Why is one of them so much hotter.

Also, I have a default fan ontop of the cpu- is that what everyone recommends replacing with a better cooler? Or is the intel fan (dc12v nidec?) ok for a cpu cooler?

Can anyone explain why the #4 is so much hotter than the others?
Thanks again

they have explained it but I will just for you its the general temp of your cpu is far too hot your default fan on the cpu is not cooling the cpu at all good its too hot do yourself a favor buy a CM 212 replace the CPU cooler with it and you will be good and #4 is reflecting on cores of cpu

They explained in excellent simple answers but I hadn't mentioned my default fan (I'm sure they assumed it came with, but I'm new to this, forgive me)
Conclusion:
CPU too hot = understood
'#4' in reading = cores of CPU (I assume this means all of it collectively?)
Regardless, seems I have my answer- Get a CPU cooler!
I'll look up CM212 and Hyper 212 and H60.

Thanks again so much everyone for your help!
Very fast responses and a super helpful website!
