I would ask this evga rep 900 cards are funny in this

like memory its best to use like cards and not mix and match overall the 2 different cards can have different bios on them clocks , power memory [Samsung on one -Hynix or elpidea on the other and so on ] that could affect overall performance or compatibility issues

you can see from there 970 cards not all sli together

that's a lot of bucks to spend to find theres something not quite right in the end ?? [opinion]

also the hybrid uses a reference board and I would insure the mixed card also uses the reference board...

like said downclocks to the lowest card ?

well for me if doing sli is the buy the same card at the same time and be 100% matched
