My computer turns off randomly and will only turn on after resetting the cmos, but will turn back off randomly after. I have ruled out faulty power supply, graphic card, and ram. I have tested it to see if it would happen in safe mode. It indeed still occurred. So it can not be a window or driver problem. I updated the bios and the problem still persisted. The temperature of the motherboard and cpu is both within normal range.

My guess is that it's a faulty motherboard. If anyone have any ideas or had any similar problem please let me know. I am running out of ideas to solve this. I'm 75% sure it's the motherboard going bad.

Solution
Check the bent pin on AMD cpu, or in the cpu socket for intel, because I don't know what PC you had. If there is not bent pin, the problem may from the motherboard, test the MB in the local pc shop, or RMA it if it is under warranty.

1st question I must Ask.
Is this standard settings?
or did you change the Bios settings.
Because that is either caused by unstable configuration, or faulty.
So try the base default settings.
ALSO unplug power, and hit power switch to bleed the power, before restarting and trying, if you have not already.
