Hi,
I was thinking of upgrading my laptop's ram (currently 4GB) to 12GB By adding another memory module.Currently My laptop is installed with 4GB Nanya 1600Mhz RAM ... and I am thinking of buying Corsair 8 GB DDR3 Ram CMSO8GX3M1A1600C11 for my laptop but i was thinking if it would be any issues of compatibility or not.
My laptop: Dell Inspiron 15r 5521

It is always advised to buy a matched pair to populate both slots to allow them running in dual channel mode. Different capacities tend to break this pathway for dual channel transfer/performance boosts let alone their internal timings and specs. According to your product specs page it supports a maximum of 8GB per slot running at 1600MHz at 1.5v

Just to be on the safe side please double check to see if your Dell Inspiron 15r-5521 is the new or the old one. Have a read through this thread to understand my doubts.
